About BigCapital
Charts that show what investments really returned: with dividends, after inflation, and with the source of every number.
Most price charts show only the price. They leave out dividends, which for many stocks are a large part of the return, and inflation, which quietly takes a share every year. BigCapital puts all three on one chart, so you can see how much money actually grew.
Principles
- Real terms. Long-run figures are shown after inflation as well as in nominal dollars.
- Total return. Dividends are counted, and stock splits are taken into account.
- Sources. Every chart names its source, and the full list with licenses is on the data sources page.
- Checks. Data is validated on every update; if a check fails, the old numbers stay up rather than wrong new ones.
- Caveats. Thin early markets, survivorship bias, preliminary data and other limits are stated next to the numbers they affect.
History
BigCapital started in 2013 as a Russian-language site about company fundamentals, with dividend calendars, screeners and portfolio contests built on hand-entered report data. In 2026 it was rebuilt from scratch around automated data from public sources.
Not investment advice
BigCapital is an educational project. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Past returns do not guarantee future results, and the figures ignore taxes and fees.
